Absolutely! It is the only way to maintain a pleasurable drive and premium performance in the long run.
Some manufactures advise that their transmissions are sealed for life, however we all know that in the real world even the best specification oils degrade, and what exactly does 'lifetime' mean?
The lifetime of your ZF transmission can be extended with a service every 60,000 miles or every 6 years and in our experience not changing the oil has caused problems including slow or jerky gearshifts and in some cases premature transmission failure.
Regular servicing will restore the efficiency of your transmission and you will have that ”like new feel” again with many miles of trouble free operation.

Check for any leaks and clean down prior to removing filter.

Drain the gearbox of its old oil.

Remove and Replace the gearbox oil filter (sump pan with an integral filter)

Refill the gearbox using the correct oil, following the correct refill procedures.

Reset all adaptation values and delete all fault codes.
